Rouilleux - Scatter Your Soul

After three years Rouilleux releases a new album Scatter Your Soul on KLaNGundKRaCH and Letmo productions labels, this time as a chrome cassette with download code. Compared to the previous record Zugzwang, it‘s a more raw and straightforward collection of songs, recorded this time as a three-piece band with the assistance of Tomas Prochazka aka Federsel (B4, Gurun Gurun, Radio Royal, and others), who also took care of mixing and mastering. While the sound of Zugzwang was relying on multiple layers of electric guitars, Scatter Your Soul uses a combination of wind instruments, synthesizer, guitars, and percussions to build songs that range from noise rock to folk.

Rouilleux started in 2009 as a one-man project of Luboš Rezek after the disbanding of Prague-based band The Ruin of Ruins. Debut album Zugzwang (2011) was followed by rebuilding the project into a full band with musicians from around KLaNGundKRaCH label and Prague experimental scene: Jorge Boehringer (Core of the Coalman), Jan K!amm (RUiNU, No Pavarotti, Mooncup Accident) Martin Sýkora (White Wigwam) and Petr Vrba (IQ+1, 2 Horses Too Many). Currently playing as a three-piece unit with Rezek (guitar, vocal), Sýkora (bass, synthesizer) and Vrba (clarinet, trumpet, percussions).

The release party will take place on July 1st, 2014 in Prague (Kavárna Potrvá) with Rouilleux as an opening act for French duo Natural Snow Buildings. The band is going for a two-week tour in France with White Wigwam and Mooncup Accident in September 2014 which will be followed by Czech mini-tour in early November.
